The Arena 

 (Italian: La rivolta delle gladiatrici, lit. "The revolt of the gladiatrices"), otherwise called Naked Warriors, is a 1974 fighter abuse movie coordinated by Steve Carver and featuring Margaret Markov and Pam Grier. Joe D'Amato, the movie's cinematographer, has expressed that he took over the heading of the battle scenes in the film. 

Pam Grier and Margaret Markov depict female combatants in old Rome, who have been subjugated and should battle for their opportunity. This denotes the second joining of Grier and Markov; in 1972 they had featured together in the ladies in jail film Black Mama, White Mama.

Plot 

In the old Roman town of Brundisium, a gathering of slave young ladies is offered to a man named Timarchus, the coordinator of the occasions that occur in the town's colosseum. After a battle breaks out among the young ladies, Timarchus finds out about placing the ladies in the ring to battle until the very end. Creation 

Martin Scorsese said that Roger Corman offered him the movie to coordinate after Boxcar Bertha. Anyway, he chose to make Mean Streets instead.[1] 

Though Steve Carver is credited as the chief in the American form of the movie, the Italian rendition discards Carver and names "Michael Wotruba" as chief instead.[2] Michael Wotruba was a nom de plume utilized by Joe D'Amato.[2] D'Amato is acknowledged in the two adaptations as a cinematographer under his original name Aristide Massaccesi.[2] In a meeting, D'Amato said the Italian maker Franco Gaudenzi didn't confide in Carver, who was sent by Roger Corman and sent D'Amato to deal with the cinematography and help Carver if needed.[2] According to D'Amato, Carver wound up coordinating the scenes with exchanges while he, at the end of the day, dealing with the battle groupings in the field
